This week I was invited by our good friend LASD Sgt Zimmerman to attend a graduation ceremony for over 40 new LASD Deputies. Many other Deputies and Police Officers from various towns (Torrance to Cypress) were there, too.

I was blessed to attend and share, with many of the Deputies and Officers, our Jesus Backs the Blue light-pens, thank-you cards, and Peacemaker Bibles. I love encouraging those warriors who, God bless them, are always
happily surprised by the little items of support we provide. (I was even able to give the light-pens to Sheriff Luna and his immediate staff. They were very happy to receive them, too.)

One Deputy, after receiving a Bible, asked if I could give one to his partner, too. I happily obliged. The partner is a former Marine and tough guy who, the partner said, needs Jesus. Don’t we all.

While we may not be the only outside organization helping boost morale of LASD Deputies, evidence from the gathering and interactions indicate we’re one of the very few. Ample incentive for Morale Boosters to continue the mission of encouraging our great LEOs.
